Day 121 of 366: April Showers

The last day of April. What a wonderful day! I went to the opening of the Connected Exhibition in The Patchings Art Centre near Nottingham organised by two great photographers Rob and Karen Knight. It was such an inspirational day. I met many talented photographers, some I already knew from last year's event or from social media. It was a great time to catch up and see the outstanding images displayed at the exhibition. I was honoured to present my work and share the stage with an amazing photographer Guy Aubertin Photography. All in all the day was a great success for all involved.

I have written a short blog about the day if you are interested in more details.

The picture of the day was a real bonus. I was getting slightly worried as it was the end of the day and we had a long journey back home ahead of us. Fortunately on the way to the motorway I noticed a solitary tree in the middle of rapeseed fields. Something I wanted to photograph for a very long time but never happened to be in the right place at the right time. I was extremely lucky this time. Thankfully I have a very understanding partner who didn't mind stopping in a layby and waiting in the car for about half an hour until the light was just right. I know, I am a very lucky person.
