London is a really fascinating city with so many great contrasts. On one hand there are historical monuments and architectural marvels like Big Ben, The Houses of Parliament, St. Paul's Cathedral or the Tower, just to name a few. On the other hand the ever changing city is expanding towards the skies with ultra modern high-rise buildings like Gherkin, Shard or Cheesegrater. Over the years I have been working here I have seen how the old and new gradually blend together and create a unique skyline that boasts both the iconic historical buildings and sleek modern skyscrapers. I prefer the old parts, however working in the City gives me opportunities to get to know the modern parts as well. An they are certainly worth exploring too.
