Day 170 of 366: Storm Approaching

On one occasion when doing the South Downs Walk, Martin and I met a very nice taxi driver. He was from Newhaven. When I asked him what it was like he said: "If you see a sign for Newhaven, take a bypass." That got me interested straight away. To find something interesting in a place that other people consider a dump always sounds like a nice challenge to me. So I ventured out to the sunny place called Newhaven. It might be a dump, but once you get through its industrial parks and council estates you get rewarded by a lovely beach. Add a bit of stormy skies, turquoise sea and spectacular cliffs, and you get a recipe for a nice morning out. Even in Newhaven.
