It's amazing how plans can go wrong but turn out right in the end. I went to photograph sunrise over the lavender fields in Banstead. However the light was not nice, no wonderful colours that I saw every day of the week, when I had to go to work, but dark, grey skies threatening to rain. However when looking for a car park I found Oak Farm Park. Open for public, plenty of space, nobody around and lots of beautiful flowers to photograph even when it did start to rain.
Lavender fields will have to wait for next year.

Oh these colours! Colour is such a joy – I just want to get lost in that first shot and drown myself in those vibrant hues.
Thank you very much, Gilly. It is one of the advantages of the summer. There are beautfiul flowers and colours everywhere. Such a joy.
