Day 297 of 366: Memories of Ireland

Back home only memories remain. But what great memories. It was another truly unforgettable adventure. These seashells are my precious keepsake that remind me of the wonderful moments we shared. Martin collected them for me on all those beautiful beaches we visited over the last couple of weeks.

I first arranged them randomly but it didn't work. Martin suggested a curve and eventually I ended up with a spiral. In the end it all made sense. We saw many of these symbols on our trip. It turned out that a spiral is one of the most common symbols of the Celtic culture. There are many different meanings in Celtic belief, but I prefer the one that it represents the sun or the radiation of ethereal energy.
