One of the things I love about this time of the year is the late sunrise. It gives me a chance to explore some of my favourite parts of London shrouded in darkness, only lit by the street lights. There is so much atmosphere to savour in these moments. This particular corner is lit by one of 1500 remaining gas lights in London. I could smell the leaking gas as the lamp was obviously broken. I must admit it only added to the moody atmosphere.
