Ham House is one of the hidden gems on the River Thames. It is claimed by the National Trust to be "unique in Europe as the most complete survival of 17th century fashion and power." Though we live so close to it, I never visited its grounds until now. It was another dark and gloomy day so the formal gardens didn't look at their best. At least I have a reason to go back next year.
