Valentine's Day. Though Martin and I don't wait the whole year to spend one special evening together over a candlelit dinner and tell each other how much we love each other, we still choose to celebrate this day. A beautiful bouquet of red roses to wake up to and a delicious box of chocolates after a day spent together are just some of those precious moments we share not only on this day, but throughout the whole year. Because Every Day is a Valentine's Day.
What's in a name? that which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet;
William Shakespeare
I saw a rose, an ordinary rose
It struggled to be seen
In a garden overgrown
With harsh reality.
I saw a rose, an ordinary rose
And this rose spoke to me,
Pleading for attention:
Is beauty not a need?
I stopped to touch this ordinary rose
And it reached out to me,
Imparting its sweet fragrance
To my senses gratefully.
