Day 51 of 366: February Fields

This Saturday Martin and I completed the third section of the South Downs Way. This time we were not so lucky with the weather. It was a very dark and gloomy day. Though we missed the heavy rain later in the afternoon because fortunately we started really early in the morning.

I was not sure whether to choose this picture, but it does sum up our day. We had some wonderful views despite the dark grey skies and lack of light. Especially when we spotted a red kite gliding through the air so gracefully and with with such an ease.

The path took us through an ancient forest, which was full of beautiful details. I only wished I could stay a little longer. But that I will have to leave for another time, when I am on my own and not trying to complete a walk.

This was just a little bit of fun. The weather was ideal for a black and white graphic image.
