Day 197 of 366: The End of the Day

Poruba High Street is a wide boulevard built in the socialist realism style, Russian architectural style – the Stalin baroque as it is called by some. Given its unique appearance, it is starting to be used as a location for films. I remember watching Babylon A.D. when suddenly both Martin and I looked at each other with this “I know this place” look. So even Vin Diesel found Poruba interesting enough for shooting a scene from an apocalyptic Russian district.
